James Plaskett, owner of Access 2 Trees, based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, operates at Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 Performance IIIS tracked cherry picker.

The tracked MEWP provides a maximum working height of 20.1m and outreach of 9.7m.

He said: “My team prefers to work from the Hinowa than climbing trees with conventional rope systems and many of our customers recognise the safety and sustainability benefits of us using the machine to maintain their trees.

“We can often work on three trees with the Hinowa platform in the time it takes to work on just one with traditional rope access climbing. We can also assess a tree’s maintenance needs and wildlife protection issues more effectively.”
