Customer enquiries prompt rental specialist to buy Hinowa

Specialist access rental company Global Platforms has invested in its first Hinowa spider lift in response to multiple customer enquiries about the brand.

The company has taken delivery of a Hinowa Lightlift 17.75 Performance IIIS from Hinowa’s UK and Ireland authorised distributor, Access Platform Sales.

APS Sales Manager Mike Weatherill, pictured above left, handed over the spider platform to Global Platform Business Development Manager Dave Brookes at the company’s HQ in Warrington, Cheshire.

‘Quality spider lift’

Global Platforms Managing Director Martin Davies said: “We’ve been receiving calls asking if we offer Hinowa platforms so we decided to respond to customer interest by giving them a try.

“The Lightlift 17.75 is clearly a quality spider lift with features customers very much appreciate, one being its unrestricted basket capacity of 230kg. We’re already expecting it to be popular.”

APS Sales Manager Mike Weatherill said: “We’re very pleased to be able to supply Martin and his team with their first Hinowa Lightlift 17.75.

“It’s one of our most popular spider lifts, combining excellent working height with great reach. I’m confident it will do very well for them.

“The Hinowa Lightlift Performance range has a shared operating system and features, including the 230kg unrestricted capacity plus proportional controls and one button set up and stow.

“Just as importantly, they’re designed to be highly reliable and easy to maintain, and the APS technical team is always on hand with advice to make sure they and their customers get the most from their Hinowa platforms.”

Close to customers

Global Platforms operates a fleet of spider cherry pickers, with working heights from 13m to 33m, and fleet of truck mount platforms with working heights from 16m to 50m.

It also designs and manufacturers bespoke working platforms for the transport maintenance, manufacturing and construction industries and has a national scaffolding supply and installation service.

Being close to customers and always being ready to provide the precise equipment and services they need is a reason it has made the Hinowa spider lift investment.

The Hinowa Lightlift 17.75 has a maximum working height of 17.06m and a maximum horizontal outreach of 7.5m. With a travel width of just 790mm, it can be tracked through single doorways or along narrow garden paths.

Global Platforms has selected a platform with diesel and the mains electric power option, with a low-emissions diesel engine or 110v mains electric power, allowing it to be used outdoors or indoors.

Wide range of tasks

The spider lift can also be supplied with a petrol engine or all electric lithium batteries – and with white, non-marking tracks for indoor working.

The Hinowa Lightlift 17.75 is ideal for a wide range of working at height tasks, including tree management, building inspection and maintenance, building cleaning and roof repair.

Like other Hinowa Lightlift spider lifts up to the 20m Hinowa LL 20.10, it can be transported on a lightweight 3.5t trailer (also available from APS), towed by a van or 4x4 car, using a standard car driving licence.

The Hinowa Lightlift Performance IIIS range extends from working height of 13.3m, for the Hinowa LL 13.70, to 40.2m, for the new LL 40.18, which has a working height of 40.2m and a huge outreach of 18m.

APS also supplies Hinowa TeleCrawler telescopic tracked spider lifts with two working heights, the Hinowa TeleCrawler 13S (and 13N) and Hinowa TeleCrawler 22S (and 22N), designed to operate in highly constrained space.
