APS rises to construction challenge at ScotPlant 2024

The first LGMG telehandler on show in the UK is expected to attract significant attention on the Access Platforms Sales stand at ScotPlant 2024.

A Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 spider lift ready for the off on its compact trailer and a new range of ToughLift material lifts will also be on display on 26 and 27 April at the Royal Highland Centre, in Edinburgh.

APS is particularly pleased to present the LGMG H1840 rough terrain telehandler, the first time this model has been on display in Europe.

Impressive features

APS is the UK and Ireland distributor for LGMG and is excited by the capabilities of the company’s telehandlers, which clearly mirror those of its access platforms: robust, reliable, easy to operate and easy to maintain.

Shane Paver, APS Northern Sales Director, said: “We think ScotPlant visitors will be impressed by the LGMG H1840. It’s packed with features that make lifting and load control smoother and more precise.

“It also combines high power levels with low fuel consumption and quieter operation that minimise its carbon footprint and supports working in sensitive areas.”

APS is promoting a growing range of LGMG telehandlers with design features, shared parts and smart diagnostic tools that minimise operating costs and maximise utilisation.

Electric drive advantage

Other LGMG machines on display include the popular 18m SR1623D rough terrain scissor lift, the 15.8m LGMG AS1413E electric slab scissor lift, and the 23.5m LGMG T22JE electric telescopic boom.

It means LGMG’s fast-growing range of next-generation electric scissor lifts and booms will be well represented at ScotPlant, in response to growing awareness of the advantages of electric power.

For example, the direct drive electric motors on all the platforms increase power efficiency and battery life, support more precise MEWP control, eliminate hydraulic oil spills, and accelerate turnaround of platforms between hires, increasing utilisation rates.

Market-leading Hinowa

APS is also showing the Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 Performance IIIS spider lift, along with its bespoke skeleton trailer, a combination that makes it the most popular tracked MEWP for tree work and building maintenance.

The Hinowa LL 20.10 has a maximum working height of 20.1m, a maximum outreach of 9.7m, and is just 795mm wide when stowed for tracking, allowing it to be moved down narrow paths and through garden gates.

It is also the largest Hinowa tracked spider lift that can be towed on a 3.5t trailer by a van or 4x4 car using a standard car driving licence.

Material lifting innovation

Visitors to the APS stand will also see an example of a range of material lifts just launched by APS. Made by ToughLift, the machines are designed to be tougher, safer and easier to use than market rivals.

The masts are specifically designed to be ultra-low maintenance with a low whole life cost. They can also be fitted with a range of attachments, including a pipe cradle, a load platform, adjustable extension forks, and a boom attachment.

BoSS PA-lift on show

APS will also have a BoSS PA-lift, the market-leading low-level scissor, on show. The modern and safer alternative to ladders, steps, podiums, and scaffolding towers, the BoSS PA-lift is a next generation push around scissor lift with a maximum working height of 5.4m.
