APS prepares biggest ever product display at Vertikal Days

Access Platform Sales will be hosting three stands at Vertikal Days – its biggest ever presence at Europe’s largest powered access and lifting show.

The company is helping manufacturers launch exciting new platforms in the UK during the show at East of England Showground, Peterborough, on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd September.

On the LGMG stand, APS is presenting its brand partner’s range of access platforms, including electric and rough terrain scissor lifts, telescopic booms and articulating booms.

Growing sales

On its Hinowa stand, its teams are launching the new Hinowa TC22 telescopic spider boom, the second platform in the ground-breaking new TeleCrawler range from the Italian manufacturer.

While, on the APS stand, the company will be showcasing the brand-new BoSS PA-lift, which builds on the success of the BoSS X3X with additional features and performance.

APS Managing Director Steve Couling said: “Our expanded presence at Vertikal Days reflects our growing confidence as the UK’s largest independent platform sales specialist.

“It also reflects, I believe, the strength of the powered access market in the UK. Despite challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, clients are willing to invest in equipment that delivers high value and performance.”

LGMG interest

APS is the UK and Ireland authorised distributor for LGMG, a brand that has attracted major interest thanks to its smart design, quality build, competitive pricing and fast product fulfilment

Over the last 12 months, APS has experienced strong sales of LGMG scissor lifts, from the electric LGMG SS0407E self-propelled scissor lift, that provides 6.3m working height, to the LGMG SR1623 D rough terrain scissor lift, with its 18m working height.

Now the full range of LGMG booms are coming on stream, with APS already receiving orders for the 16m LGMG AR14J articulating boom, the 17.7m LGMG AR16J articulating boom, and the T20J 22m telescopic boom.

All-electric first

The Hinowa TC13 was the first MEWP in the world to be supplied with lithium battery-powered all-electric tracked undercarriage, greatly reducing the risk of hydraulic fluid spills.

The TC22 can be supplied with the same configuration. But reflecting Hinowa’s famed flexibility, the TC22 on display at APS’s Hinowa stand will be the diesel engine and 110v mains electric version.

A bi-energy version, with lithium batteries and diesel engine is also available. All models have smart new functions, including ‘Go Back’. This automatically takes the platform back to the previous working position.

The TC22 N is an ultra-compact lightweight version, with 12.5m outreach when combined with a single person 136kg basket. There is also the TC22 S, a slightly heavier machine with the same outreach and a two-person 230kg basket.

New micro-scissor

On the main APS stand, the star of the show is likely to be the new BoSS PA-lift. The UK-made push-around platform has a class-leading working height of 5.4m yet is just 760mm wide and 1433mm long.

Key features of the micro-scissor include the ability to send machine diagnostics via smart phones, tilt and overload warning lights, single stage emergency descent and overhead obstruction detection.
