Commercial cleaning company Cleancore UK was looking to grow its high level cleaning service. A key element of its strategy was to invest in its own powered access platform to carry out the work.

Chad Campbell and his wife, Lisa, had been running the business for three years when they realised hiring out platforms rather than operating their own was holding back their business. The question was, which platform would be best?

Solution

The company had hired Hinowa spider platforms before. They proved ideal for cleaning the roofs and gutters of domestic and commercial properties – tasks that formed the core of their high level cleaning business.

As a result, Chad approached APS and selected a Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 IIIS as the optimum spider cherry picker to buy. The platform has a maximum working height of 20.1m and a maximum outreach of 9.7m, with an unrestricted basket capacity of 230kg.

The version Chad selected has a low-emissions diesel engine but can switch to cable 110v mains electric power for operating in areas where low noise and zero fumes working was needed.

Also, the platform is the largest that can be towed on a 3.5t trailer by a van or 4x4 vehicle using a standard car driver’s licence.

Outcomes

Chad and Lisa – and their growing team of cleaning operatives – have been impressed with the spider platform from the start. So, says Chad, are customers in and around Thirsk in North Yorkshire.
