Vertikal Days 2023

Access Platform Sales is looking forward to attending Vertikal Days – what its organisers bill as the largest show in Europe focussed specifically on powered access, cranes and lifting equipment.

If you are thinking of attending as well, our expert team will be delighted to welcome you to our three stands – representing our biggest ever presence at Vertical Days.

However, there is also much more to see and enjoy (surprising we know) at Vertikal Days, and this is our guide to why it’s worth coming along, how to get there, and what you can expect to see.

This video is from the vertikal days 2022, an example as to what it will be like in 2023.

We hope you find it useful.

Why visit?

Simply put, if you need to work at height, lift a load or move it around, there will be a machine at Vertikal Days for you.

  • Access platforms

  • Cranes

  • Telehandlers

  • Associated lifting equipment for lifting professionals.

Vertikal Days is an excellent opportunity to get up close and personal with the most popular and newest platforms, cranes and lifting equipment on the market. Exhibitors have their top experts and business leaders there too (including APS) so it’s a good opportunity to meet senior people, share knowledge and finalise machine buying choices. Vertikal Day organisers say the show is attended by buyers and company owners from 90% of leading UK and Irish rental companies that buy more than 80% of all cranes and aerial lifts in the two countries.

Where is Vertikal Days?

The show is located at the East of England Arena and Events Centre in Peterborough, where it was held for the first time in 2021.

Travelling to Vertikal Days

By Car

As already mentioned above, the best postcode to use in sat navs to get to Vertikal Days is  PE2 6HE.

Travelling from the A1(M) South – continue along the A1(M), passing the Peterborough Services (Extra MSA); continue forward onto the A1 and then take the next turn left, signposted East of England Arena/Showground. At the junction with the A605, turn left and travel half a mile. At the roundabout, turn right, and you have arrived.

Travelling from the A1(M) North – ignore the very first signpost for Peterborough and continue travelling along the A1 picking up the brown highways’ signposts indicating East of England Arena/Showground. Follow these signs and leave the A1 at Alwalton, taking you through the village and onto the A605 Oundle Road junction. Turn left at this junction and at the very next roundabout, turn right and you’ve arrived at Peterborough Arena.

Parking at Vertikal Days is free

By Plane

East of England Arena’s location makes it central for London Stansted, London Luton, East Midlands, and Birmingham airports – 60-90 minutes away by car approximately.

By Bus or Taxi

Peterborough city centre has a number of taxi ranks, as well as a coach park and bus station located within the Queensgate Centre. The Stagecoach bus service runs a half-hourly service during the week and a two-hourly Sunday service, stopping just outside the East of England Arena. There are a number of taxis operating in the area, we recommend you order with your hotel or contact directly in advance to ensure your journey runs smoothly.

By Train

Peterborough is located on the East Coast Main line running from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh. A number of fast trains run on this network, making London accessible in 45 minutes on specific trains. The station has its own taxi rank, which means reaching the East of England Arena takes approximately 15 minutes once the train has arrived in the station.
