Hire specialist turns to APS for Genie material lift investment

Expanding powered access and tool hire firm Source UK has invested in popular Genie material lifts supplied by Access Platform Sales.

Source UK has selected the Genie Superlift Advantage 15 because it is one of the most popular material lifts with a wide range of customers.

Company Director Steve Ottewill is pictured with Access Platform Sales (APS) Major Accounts Manager Linda Betts with the material lifts.

Steve Ottewill said: “We are always guided by customer demand and our customers like Genie material lifts.

“They’re good quality machines and easy to use. The Genie SLA 15 covers a lot of bases for our customers which include ducting installers and construction contractors.”

The Genie SLA 15 push around material lift has a maximum load capacity of 363kg with a maximum lifting height of 4.98m.

It can be set up very quickly without tools, comes with removable attachments for easy storage and can be loaded easily into a van or into a pick-up truck.

The Genie SLA 15 can be guided through narrow doorways but can just as easily be set up to lift wide loads.

Weighing just 151kg, it is ideally suited to lifting loads on low load bearing or delicate floors.

Its versatility and ease-of-use makes it a go to material lift for many contractors, including glass installers, HVAC installers and builders.

Steve, who runs Source UK, based in Milton Keynes, with his wife, Debbie Ottewill, said he was impressed with the service provided by Access Platform Sales (APS).

He added: “APS has given us good advice, it has good stock availability and its pricing is competitive.

“Maintenance support is also very good. APS and Genie provide an excellent all-round service package.”

APS is an authorised UK Genie distributor.

Linda Betts, Major Accounts Manager at APS, said: “We’re delighted Source UK is so pleased with its Genie materials lifts and our service.

“The Genie SLA is a rugged, high-performance machine that delivers excellent return on investment for hire specialists.

“They’re low maintenance, easy to deliver and pick up and can be put to work by hire customers with minimal instruction. Most importantly, they are very popular on many work sites.”

Source UK, launched in 2012, has invested in Genie material lifts as part of a continuing growth plan.

The hire specialist provides direct and cross-hire services in London and across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire.
