High Capacity Isoli Truck Mounted Boom Assists With Building Maintenance

Challenge: Sussex Renovations carries out painting, decorating and high-level building maintenance for councils, companies and private residents in the Sussex area. The firm was looking for a new truck-mounted boom to replace a 2007 CTE model. In particular it wanted a robust, user-friendly machine with higher lifting capacity, as it often needed to have more than one person in the platform basket. It also wanted a boom with greater reach.

Solution: The company invested in an Isoli PNT230 truck mounted boom, supplied by Access Platform Sales. The PNT230 features variable position H-frame outriggers - for working in tight areas, the stabilisers can be set so they do not protrude further than the cab width. It has a 230kg safe working load, 22.5m maximum working height and 11.3m outreach.

Outcomes: APS mounted the PNT230 on a 4.5t Nissan Cabstar for Sussex Renovations. This gives the company the greater payload it needs to carry two people and tools. The truck is also fitted with an additional storage box for carrying cones and other road safety equipment.
